Meet The Denver Team
Our experienced leadership team has been in the business for decades. When it comes to glass there is nothing they don't know and no project that they can't help you with.
Already a seasoned veteran in the glazing industry, Garrett has held every position from driver, fabricator, installer, and project manager to President/Owner and has been with El Paso Glass for 16 years. Although he has moved into ownership, he still has his hand in all the projects here in Denver to ensure a smooth and successful project. In his free time, he’s most likely to be on the golf course or hunting whatever is in season.
Joseph Stading – Project Manager
One of the newer project managers who joined the El Paso team in April 2022. Joseph has spent the last 30 years living in Colorado Springs, CO, and has several years of experience in customer service, Quality Assurance, and various areas of construction knowledge. He brings a positive attitude to the team and is always willing to learn something new. Joseph spends most of his free time enjoying a lovely evening with his wife at the local Karaoke spots and has a plethora of trivia knowledge.
He also enjoys spending his weekends riding on his motorcycle or getting away from the city for a nice camping retreat. Joseph truly loves the outdoors, whether it's going on expeditions for crystal mining and hunting for fossils or a nice day on the lake in his kayak. He was an avid skateboarder for many years and is a big fan of extreme sports. His favorite shows to watch are Survivor, Game of Thrones, and South Park. Joseph enjoys making people laugh with his impersonations and knowledge of movie quotes. He enjoys listening to all types of music and was a drummer in a band for many years.
Charla Smead – Project Manager

Charla has worn many hats for El Paso Glass and brings a positive “Get ‘er done” attitude daily. After quickly moving through Admin, Fleet Manager, Delivery Coordinator, and Assistant Project Manager to Project Manager, she has developed a strong foundation of knowledge to continue building upon.
Charla never passes up an opportunity for an adventure. She spends most of her spare time diving in the Caribbean or backcountry camping with her husband in the 1979 Volkswagen Westfalia they restored together.
James Canerdy – Estimator
A driven individual who enjoys spending quality time with close family. I listen to music, walk/run, bike, and golf in my spare time. With an associate degree in architectural technology from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College--Green Bay, WI, I started my journey in the glass industry as a Draftsman for a medium-sized glass company, then ascended to the ranks of Estimator/Project Manager for several glass shops in my hometown of Memphis, TN. Colorado called, and I had to answer.
I transplanted my family to this amazing place to pursue a Senior Estimator position and have been in the role since 2018. After 16 years of glass and glazing experience ranging from Drafting, Estimating, and Project Management, I constantly strive to achieve more each day. My favorite quote that I live by every day is by the great Vince Lombardi: “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence.”
